Aims and Objectives

  • To enhance career development of women in Media and those who aspire to work in the Media.

  • To encourage networking opportunities  and stimulate discussions on issues relevant to women working in Media.

  • To assist, motivate, promote and reward excellence among members through consistent and effective training locally and internationally

  • To initiate quality initiatives that will achieve positive results and improve the media.

Women in Media Mentorship Program

This initiative is designed to:

  • Strengthen Media Structures: Foster the professional growth of women across all units in the media industry.

  • Build and Enhance Capacity: Empower women in media to directly influence the positive trajectory of the Media and Communications industry in Nigeria.

  • Facilitate Mentorship: Provide willing mentors with a structured and credible means to give back to their profession at their convenience, leveraging their desired skill sets.

The mentorship scheme is a two-week program open to practicing women in media, aspiring women in media, and students in tertiary institutions with a proven interest in media practice. Participants will undergo hands-on practical training, with performance appraisals conducted at the conclusion of the two-week term
