The Women In Media Development Initiative (WIMDI) and the Women in Politics Forum (WIPF) came together to discuss Media and Elections Campaign: Gender Responsive Reporting in Commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism.

The multiple barriers women face in media and governance were addressed and discussed.
Participants were charged to be more assertive and aggressive in putting out ideas and embrace transformative equality.
We cannot give up on issues concerning women. We must be willing to change our perspectives on gender reporting. The stories we tell ourselves matter. They make a difference in how we think about who we are and the way we structure our lives. This will blaze our paths for us now and the future.
We need to change the narrative.
